Catalina Island

Just got back from a trip with my family to California to visit family and enjoy a trip to Catalina Island as well. It was quite a unique trip and our family bonded in many ways.  There was trips to Disneyland, and Harry Potter and Winnie the Pooh movies (Both are quite incredible!!) a lovely day on the beach of Catalina, and laughter and joy with our cousins all night long!

But although the trip had been full of happiness the biggest surprise came with extreme sadness.  During one of our days my sister who had been pregnant started feeling a little under the weather and soon had to be taken to the hospital. She soon discovered she had had a miscarriage (that started weeks previous to the trip) and her baby she had joyfully brought into this world that was supposed to be 11 weeks had only reached 6 weeks and would be joining Jesus instead.  My brother in law soon joined us to help with the support and the love we wanted to show Laura in this time.  That young baby is still so precious and real to our family and will always be.  Laura is doing well physically which is a huge blessing and their future is still bright and filled with the sound of little feet soon to come! Prayer is always appreciated!

Along these rough times it shows just how important family and love are. I always feel so comforted and fulfilled when God's love is just wrapped around us.  He knows all things and in that there is amazing comfort in whatever we face in our lives.

Here are some images of the gorgeous scenery and fun moments captured:

  1. Sorry to hear about Laura's miscarriage. Ashlynn had one about a year and a half ago if she needs anyone to talk to who has been through the same pain. Thoughts and prayers with her and with you!
